Dog Gadgets / Talking Bone

MSNBC.com had a story on some "pet-friendly gadgets" today, including the Talking Bone:
Fun with pet-friendly gadgets - Today, Weekend Edition - MSNBC.com: "Your dog loves to hear the sound of his master's voice. So give him a toy that will tell him what he loves to hear, even if you're not at home! The Talking Bone is a soft chew toy that contains a voice module. You can record your own changeable message. When your dog nudges or picks up the Talking Bone, the voice module is activated."
You are not amused by the word "master." Nor do you understand the word "master," exactly. Nevertheless, you are not amused. Also, you are not fooled by a talking bone. A talking bone is obviously designed to amuse your people rather than you. You will leave it for them. Perhaps they will enjoy it. If they should buy one for you, you take some consolation from the fact that it will take mere moments to eviscerate the contraption and have its voice box removed and tossed under the ottoman.
