from / FOXNews.com - Health - Blood Swapping Reanimates Dead Dogs
My question is, if you can't give them proper medical help, how are you going to drain their blood and refill them with a saline solution at temperatures near zero degrees?FOXNews.com - Health - Blood Swapping Reanimates Dead Dogs: "[Dr. Patrick Kochanek] said his goal is to be able to put humans, such as critically wounded soldiers or stabbing or shooting victims, in a state of suspended animation for a few hours until they can receive proper medical help."Sounds like a smoke screen to me, and this research is likely just plain research looking for a use. I doubt very much that it would ever be used as they claim it might be used. In which case, you know what? Stop doing it to the dogs. I'm going to give this some thought and then I'm going to write a letter directly to the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research, because I think using dogs in this way is simply inhumane, and speaks volumes regarding the scientific dismissal of compassion, love, kindness, and grace. If you've already got your letter ready, send it here: PATRICK M KOCHANEK, Director, Safar Center for Resuscitation Research Be sure to be respectful and thoughtful whenever corresponding. You're less likely to be heard if you're shouting.
