Sadie Says / The Original Dog Powered Scooter

Monday, June 06, 2005  Terry

You've seen pictures of the Dog Powered Scooter before, but you've never tried it yourself, and frankly you aren't sure you're a big enough dog for it. Also, it doesn't look as if you'll have the control you like:
"This new Dog Scooter Design fulfills these needs & opportunities and has many advantages over the traditional dog scootering/ dog carting activities. The most outstanding of which is the ability to steer the dog! Traditional systems have the dog out front in charge of the steering! Yes it can be done but only with hours of intensive dog training to 'turn' on command. And even then 'turns' are wide and lack precision. Thus can never be 'counted on' in the high density urban environment. This 'virtually no training' feature really opens this activity up to almost any dog and owner. And it makes this system very safe for the dog & owner. All the dog needs to do is 'go forward' which they love to do. The pace is generally that of the dog - a built in safety feature for the dog."
You wonder how never being "counted on" could be a safety feature, but you will trust that He Who Hides the Tennis Ball will not go to the trouble of purchasing one of these any time soon. Will he? He mustn't. Technorati Tags: , , , , ,
