Whip of Joy
There's a lovely post in Trevor Romain's blog about a little girl who is cheered up by a dalmation. I used to have a dalmation. Sparky. I know the feeling (sort of) inside that little girl. Sparky never failed to make me happy (even when he was in trouble). His tail was like a whip of joy.

After her death I said I'd never own another Dalmatian because no one could ever live up to her. Four months later I rescued Razz from the local shelter.
I know now I'll always have a Dalmatian in my life. I love those quirky Dalmatian traits.”
