Terry
Here are a few of the shelter story contest from HSUS.org:Shelter Contest: "You can honor your local animal shelter by submitting a story to our Super Shelter Stories contest, held this month in anticipation of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. The week, celebrated this year from November 6 to 12, is an annual event sponsored by The HSUS to bring attention to the many critical roles animal shelters play and to the various ways that shelters positively impact both people and animals in their communities. Any experience&emdash;the story of how an animal control officer helped you find your pet, how a volunteer stint at the shelter changed your life, or how a shelter worker alleviated animal suffering&emdash;could be the winning entry. We're looking for stories about anything your local shelter has done to improve the lives of animals or people in your community."Got a shelter story? Go share it. Don't want to share it there? Feel free to share it here (go ahead and post it in the comments). Blessings.
