CBS 5: Owners Urged To Seek Safe Dog Toys: Most balls are soft latex and slippery enough to slide down their throats. Veterinarians and manufacturers agree that pet owners need to be aware of the size of the toy, and make sure that it is not small enough for your dog to swallow.
You would like to remind your people, as well as the people in this story, that you do not actually even like these toys. You will inevitably swallow them, and you are not fond of swallowing them. You do not want to swallow them. But you have to. Especially if you have any Labrador blood in you whatsoever. You know that this will mean a trip to the vet, and you know that there may be discomfort and even blockage, but you are incapable of doing that which you are incapable of doing. This may seem obvious. But it is apparently not obvious to your people, for they sometimes bring you swollowable toys. Why do they do this? (They are not always aware what is or isn't swallowable. You will give them this.) Bless them. They are not always as smart as they seem.
