Rufus the Bull Terrier / Best in Show / Free Dog Chow for Life?

Update: Rufus won best in show at Westminster too. My dogs (Sadie and Pretzel) are about as impressed as you would expect them to be. Which means, um, not at all. But they would like to know when I expect to be putting my shoes on again. Because they left the tennis ball out there in the street. Ready to go.

I don't mean to spoil the surprise or anything, but Rufus wins the National Dog Show.

Place your bets with family members before the show is televised and win a bundle from Uncle Gregory who thinks he knows everything about everything (unless, of course, he does know everything about everything, in which case he will already know that Rufus won).

Anyway, it's not about winning, right? It's about giving thanks and being with family and enjoying the bitter cold outside.

Rufus a bull terrier, if you must know, and mighty fine lookin', don't you think? Maybe he'll be the next Target dog. Put a ring around his eye and take lots of photos.

I sense an endorsement deal coming.

PS: It's possible Rufus's picture disappears, since I've already noticed I'm having trouble with it. In that case, well, enjoy the show... you'll know him when you see him.

You gotta great lookin' mug! I love it. - I hope you had fun at your show. Which makes me wonder, when you win - do you get all that dog-food-for-life up front, in one big payment? Where would ytou keep it?? You're bowl must be pretty big!

I bet you get lots of treats at those shows huh? ...not a bad gig. I'd be up for it too, but I'm more of a anchor-type breed. If all I had to do was sit there, I'd be bringin' home the bacon - literally!
