So when do we get to see this in the U.S.?
Scotsman.com News - Scotland - Edinburgh - We'll meet the lead at Bobby film premiere: The film tells the story of Bobby, the faithful terrier who kept watch over his master's grave for 14 years at Greyfriars Kirkyard in the mid-19th century.

Greyfriars Bobby: The Real Story at Last
by Forbes MacGregor

The dog faced being put down for not having an owner, but was rescued by the Lord Provost, who paid for a licence and bought Bobby a special collar. Director John Henderson and producer Christopher Figg have said that they were determined to tell the “true story” of Bobby and rejected the version in the 1961 Walt Disney film, which was largely based on a book by American author Eleanor Atkinson. It is believed that the West Highland Terrier that plays Bobby will also be at the premiere ahead of the film's national release on Friday in the company of his trainer, former Boomtown Rat Gerry Cott. The Dogs Trust and children's charity Barnardos have both been involved with the film and both will benefit from a share of some of the proceeds it receives.
And I wonder if we can get U.S. films to follow suit. How much of the millions collected and/or spent on film could be redirected to a decent cause even remotely related to the film. Good plan. Let's do it more often. What say you?
