Ken Foster has bad news in his blog today, and though I hate bad news as much as the next guy, I really really want people to know that I simply do not accept the idea the pit bulls are bad just because they are pit bulls. A few pit bulls are aggressive and protective and plain crazy because their owners abuse them. Or ignore them (abuse them). Or “buy” them because they heard pit bulls are badass dogs and they're badass people so they need a badass dog (about them). Or don't know the first damn thing about keeping a dog except that when they crap on the carpet you have to beat the rest of the crap out of them because otherwise they'll do it again (abuse them). Or keep them in the yard all day and all night, on a chain, because they're protecting the property and everyone knows that dogs are just machines with muscle (abuse them).

ken foster: Ontario wins, Rocky dies: Today, Ontario upheld its order to kill Rocky the pit bull pictured in this photo. His crime is that he is a pit bull. And he is neutered. Absurdly, if he hadn't been neutered, they may have allowed him to be saved. Maybe he should move down to New Orleans. Or anywhere. His execution date is June 30th.Mark your calendars. Do something. Move someone. Change a mind. Save a dog. Share someone else's pain, dammit. Pardon me. I have to go play with my dogs now before the bile gets too toxic.
